Peter Farmakis, President & CEO

Peter Farmakis joined VitaHEAT Medical®, LLC in May of 2015 as President and CEO. Peter has a successful track record of building and leading organizations to deliver results.

Leadership experience includes start-up, high-growth, established and turnaround business life cycles. Prior to VitaHEAT Medical, he held Senior Leadership positions in the Medical Device Businesses of Abbott Laboratories. Peter completed the Management Development Program at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and held several Commercial Marketing & Sales Leadership Positions in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Businesses of J&J. Prior to J&J and between J&J and Abbott, Peter worked in three start-up companies including OraPharma (acquired by J&J), Solvay (acquired by Abbott), and DynaSplint Systems.

Peter earned a B.A. in Pre-Physical Therapy & Psychology, and an MBA in Marketing & Strategic Management from the University of Illinois. He completed the Post-MBA General Management Executive Development Program, from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

David Mezera, VP of Sales & Marketing

David Mezera is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for VitaHEAT Medical®. He is responsible for developing and implementing the overall sales and marketing strategic plan as well as building executive client relationships with hospital systems and purchasing groups. His sales team works closely with clients supporting their efforts to maintain normothermia in their surgical patients.

David’s background includes sales management for big corporations as well as medical device startups. He worked in the electronics industry before moving to the medical device world. For the past 15 years, David has been working with large hospitals, healthcare systems, and GPOs. As Director of Sales at RF Surgical, he increased sales to more than $50 million, which helped set up the sale of the company for $235 Million.


David earned his degree in electrical engineering from State University of New York, New Paltz. He is an avid cyclist and has been racing on the national level for years. David lives in Houston, Texas.

Tony Yeh, Head of Engineering, Quality and Regulatory

Tony Yeh heads up engineering, quality, and regulatory for VitaHEAT Medical®. He has extensive R&D management experience on front-end innovation and product development. He has worked with both small and Fortune 500 medical device companies in the commercialization of Class I/Class II products from concept creation to market launch. Tony was formerly Vice President of Product Development and Engineering at Ambu, leading the product development function for the anesthesia and airway management products.  Prior to joining Ambu, he was Vice President of Research and Development at Cardinal Health responsible for the development of infection prevention product lines. Tony also held senior R&D positions at Baxter Healthcare and C. R. Bard.

Robin Wedell, Customer Excellence Manager

Robin Wedell is the Customer Excellence Manager at VitaHEAT Medical® in charge of customer service and inside sales with a primary goal of ensuring customer satisfaction and growing the business. She joined VitaHEAT® as an account director in 2013, shortly after the company was founded in 2012.

Robin has over 25 years of sales, business development and marketing experience working for Apple Computer, GE Health, and Allied Van Lines. She earned her B.S. in Marketing and Business Administration from Illinois State University. Robin has raised over $10,000 for charities close to her heart. She is a three-time participant in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60 mile walk for breast cancer and has participated in numerous events to support American Cancer Society and the Lupus Foundation of America. Robin lives in the Chicagoland area and enjoys staying active by working out at the gym, bike riding and taking long walks.

Bill Renwick, Commercial Operations Manager

Bill Renwick is the Commercial Operations Manager for VitaHEAT Medical®.  He was involved in the early stages of product design and development for the VitaHEAT ® UB3.  After moving from a product testing role and then into a product support role, Bill is now focused on the operational side working between the VitaHEAT ® team and outside business partners to create process efficiencies for the organization.  This includes support on Finance and Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Investor Relations, and IT.

Bill earned a B.S. in Geology from the School of Earth, Society & Environment at the University of Illinois.  In college he contributed to paleoclimate research at the Illinois State Geological Survey.  Directly after college, before working at VitaHEAT ® he assisted volcanic researchers from Rice University on Mount St. Helens gathering seismic data.  Bill stays active riding his bike, participating in intramural sports in Chicago, and traveling.

Jessica Jaramillo, Business Development Manager

Jessica Jaramillo is a Business Development Manager at VitaHEAT Medical® responsible for developing customer relationships and generating sales in the Southwest Region. Her previous role was a clinical specialist for a medical device company responsible for collaborating with the sales team to provide clinical and technical support.  Jessica is a highly trained surgical technologist with over 10 + years of clinical experience at leading regional hospitals in the Houston/ Galveston area.  She was part of multiple OR Teams, including trauma, ortho, and neuro.

Jessica earned her degree as Surgical Technologist from Texas State Technical College. She is an active runner and has accomplished multiple Half Marathons including Chevron Houston Half Marathon. Jessica was honored with the Humanitarian Award, for excellence honoring the few who gave their time and love to those in Haiti. Jessica lives in Houston, Texas.

Erik Enstad, Business Development Manager

Erik Enstad is a Business Development Manager at VitaHEAT Medical® responsible for developing customer relationships and generating sales in the Midwest and Eastern United States. He has over 24 years of professional sales experience primarily in the media and pharmaceuticals industry. He has sold media for NBC, Katz Media and Petry Television. Erik has also been in the healthcare industry for 15 years working for Forest Pharmaceuticals, helping to launch seven new medications to market.

Erik resides in Chicago and is an avid bowhunter, practices Shidokan Karate and is a Pitbull Rescue Advocate. He also has successfully completed the Ironman Triathlon.
